Indagini in corso da parte dei Carabinieri
TORRE CANNE – Due auto sono andate a fuoco nella notte appena trascorsa (tra mercoledì 16 e giovedì 17 settembre) nel centro di Torre Canne.
Le due autovetture – una Citroen C4 di proprietà di un fasanese e una Fiat Croma di proprietà di alcuni villeggianti – erano parcheggiate lungo la centralissima via Del Faro nei pressi della piazzetta dove è ubicata la ex scuola elementare della frazione.
A quanto pare l’incendio – che è avvenuto intorno a mezzanotte – avrebbe prima interessato la Citroen C4 per poi propagarsi, ad effetto domino, alla Croma che era parcheggiata dietro alla Citroen. Quest’ultima auto è andata completamente distrutta, mentre la Croma è stata interessata dalle fiamme nella parte anteriore.
Sul posto sono prontamente intervenuti i Vigili del Fuoco del distaccamento di Ostuni, che hanno lavorato non poco prima di avere ragione delle fiamme, insieme ai Carabinieri della sezione radiomobile della compagnia di Fasano e della stazione di Pezze di Greco, che hanno avviato le indagini per fare piena luce sull’accaduto.
Accertamenti sono in corso per stabilire l’origine dell’incendio. Non è esclusa la matrice dolosa.
